Footwear

Having appropriate footwear in the first three years of a baby’s life is absolutely critical.  At this age a baby’s foot is mostly cartilage so is soft and malleable and also faster growing than at any other stage in life.

Ideally a baby should go without shoes but this isn’t always practical.  When footwear is required it must be soft and non-restrictive.  Both Tip Toey Joey and Bobux offer soft full leather shoes for babies and toddlers and the Tip Toey Joey’s feature a flexible rubber sole for grip and protection.  Leather absorbs perspiration and having a sole that allows baby to feel the irregularities of the ground is essential for the natural development of foot muscles, balance and posture.

Once tots are confidently walking they can move into a shoe with a firmer sole.  Milk offers a lovely range of shoes for the walker from Clarks, Bibi, Bopy and the Bobux i-walk range.
